Pulse of Hope

Pulse of Hope is a heartfelt initiative by Tasneem Foundation committed to giving children born with congenital or acquired heart conditions a second chance at life. Focused solely on Lahore for now, this project offers complete medical and surgical support to underprivileged children whose families cannot afford the life-saving care they urgently need.

Our Mission

Our mission is simple but powerful:
To save and transform the lives of children with heart diseases by providing them with free, quality treatment including surgeries, medications, diagnostics, and post-operative care. We believe every child deserves the right to grow up healthy and hopeful, no matter their financial background.

What Makes Pulse of Hope Special

The Pulse of Hope Project by Tasneem Foundation provides life-saving treatment to children suffering from heart conditions in Lahore. Once a child in need is identified, our team conducts a thorough verification process to assess their medical and financial circumstances. Upon approval, the child is referred to Children’s Hospital, Lahore, where a team of compassionate volunteer doctors. Including skilled paediatric cardiologists and cardiac surgeons generously perform the required surgeries free of charge.

While the surgery and in hospital treatment are offered at no cost, there are still critical post-operative expenses that many families are unable to bear. This is where Tasneem Foundation steps in. With the support of our donors, we take full responsibility for covering the essential medications, post-operative care, and follow-up appointments needed to ensure a complete and healthy recovery. These services are provided entirely free of charge to the families.

This powerful partnership between our foundation and the selfless medical professionals at Children’s Hospital allows us to maximize every rupee donated, ensuring that funds go directly toward the child’s healing journey from diagnosis to recovery. Together, we are building a system of hope, where children not only receive the urgent care they need but are given the opportunity to thrive and lead healthy, fulfilling lives.

Why It Matters

In Pakistan, nearly 60,000 babies are born each year with congenital heart defects, and many die due to lack of awareness or access to timely treatment. The high cost of paediatric cardiac surgery, often exceeding hundreds of thousands of rupees, is out of reach for most low-income families.

Pulse of Hope steps in where the system falls short bridging the gap between urgent need and life-saving care.

Where We Operate

Our project is currently active in Lahore, with treatments being carried out primarily at Children’s Hospital, one of the leading paediatric facilities in the region. As our network and donor base grow, we hope to expand this project nationwide, Insha’Allah.
